Mexico Birds: A Folding Pocket Guide to Familiar Species (A Pocket Naturalist Guide) Reviews
This is perfect for on-the-fly field identification when you don't want to carry a heavy book. All the illustrations are in color, approximately to scale, and grouped by type. It's very lightweight, and it is sturdily laminated. You could write on it with a grease pencil, then later remove the marks, if you wanted to use it as a checklist. It only shows males in breeding plumage, so females may be difficult to identify with this pamphlet.
I collect birding pocket guides everywhere I go. This one is great when I go on my Cruise to Mexico next year. When I see birds and take photos I can refer to this guide and know exactly what birds I see!
Just returned from southern Mexico and was happy to have this in my book bag. It isn't a real guide but nice to have.
Guide is very basic but convenient due to it's size. Only has pictures of males and general regions they are found. No information about song, habitat, or time of year bird is present.
All the common birds are there and lovely colors
Love birds.....love this.
I bought this for bird identification in southern coastal Mexico. Although I have referred to it a couple of times, it's only a few pages of birds total and isn't super useful. I bought the Birds of Belize book as well and have found it much more helpful.
perfect gift for a bird lover. Easy to travel with
