From Beyond the Rivers: A love song for Congo Reviews
What a remarkable story! We stayed at Gila's Israeli garden home while she took one of her trips to Africa, and can attest to the veracity of the narrative. She is a truly unique, courageous, fascinating, tender warrior lady, and I am so thankful she took the time to write about her life. It is a clear illustration of what God can do when one person or a couple says "Yes" to His plan and purposes. She continues to sow the seeds of kindness and Truth. It is a book that all short term or long term missionaries should read. It is a book that teens should read. It is a book that all passionate followers of the Truth should read. Well done, Gila!
A heartwarming story told from her heart, telling how a work for God displays itself in a particular country, a part of the continent of Africa.
What a great story of a lovely God fearing and tough lady, Gila! How the hand of God wove everything together, not always for her earthly comfort but, for her joy and increasing hope for the future of the people and land of the Congo. Read it, let it inspire and challenge you to take bigger risks in this life for your self and for others!!
